Everything is going slowly. I almost can’t stand it. I’m on my third mechanic, but I think this one is going to be the good one. Currently the Elky is sleeping in the school parking lot—and several people have looked into having it towed, thereby proving the parking tag system completely useless.

The tech school is currently “pimping my ride” for the cost of parts. So far I’ve shelled out $30-some for a carburator kit. We’re also talking heat, air conditioning, transmission, radio…maybe even outlets in the back. I’m downright jazzed. I need to get cracking on some sketches and start making clay slabs of color. Life is good.
I got word in the mail yesterday that the state is going to pony up $1,289 for me to glue stuff to my car. Is this a great country or what?!?
And I basically finished my grant application today. It’s feeling good to do something for me. (Since I don’t think the NPSO grant is going to fly anyway). Any money for tile would JUST ROCK.
I have the Elky back from its initial romp with Jeff. So the bodywork has been done, mechanical things have been tweaked, and there’s a French horn mounted on the front that blows bubbles. Life is good.
I bought the El Camino earlier this month. I sent out for the personalized plate. My buddy is going to get cracking on the rot and the mechanical stuff that needs to be overhauled. Once that’s done, I buy tile. My goal, the Lansdale Mardi Gras Parade in November (yes, November…don’t ask).
Life is good.
An El Camino. Mostly tile with a theme of “Support the Arts.” Much of the planning is underway…I’ve been scoping out local El Caminos…
