get financial stuff squared away with my married name

Thought I had all the stuff I needed to complete this. Scheduled a day to do all the things I needed to do. Ended up missing a vital piece of information… a book that I was supposed to keep, that somehow got lost. Starting over…

Yes, I have been married for two years, and still don’t have my financial crap in order, despite putting this goal at the top of my list. :P

Husband found the certificate in it’s proper place. Somehow I had missed it. (I do that a lot) Good! Now to figure out what I’m supposed to do with it. Something about a special seal from the bank to send in with this information… The site where I have to go to get the correct steps is really confusing to me. But, I had it figured out before. I can do it again.

I’m putting this on top of the list, despite it not beginning with an A, because it’s VERY important.

Yes, I’ve been married for a year and a half, and I haven’t changed my name on everything. There’s this form I have to fill out, and some stuff. Grr. Guess what: The court house lost our marriage certificate. Long story. But I think I know where our copy is.

YES, I lost our marriage certificate for a while… Short story: I lose things.

This whole deal is why I think the name changing thing is annoying, old fashioned, and sexist. However, I really like my new last name, and having a “free” name change was cool.

Anyway – important, important IMPORTANT!!! Must get this done.
