I had a little belly dancing practice with a friend. She’s been in a class for a while, and she put on a show, and showed me a few moves as well. It was really cool. It wasn’t actually class, just an informal thing where I learned a few basic moves.
The only things I can rememebr the names of are the figure eight and the shimmy. It felt really weird. When I thought I was doing things right, I got corrected, and when I thought I was doing them wrong, I was told I was doing it right, so I guess the trick is to do everything the opposite of how it seems it should feel. lol.
I wonder if this will ever really be my forte!
