I’d like to say it’s because I’m uber rich and don’t have to worry about money. Sort of the case but not really. I got a raise in the beginning of the year and then I got a new position/promotion at work which added to my salary. All of my bills are automatically withdrawn so my “budget” is based off of the money I was making prior to my two salary increases. So…I usually have a few hundred dollars to buffer my spending. I suppose it’s the lazy budget but since I haven’t increased my expenses I always have something left over each month.

I looked at my last paycheck and realized I’ve been paying NJ state taxes for the past 7 months. For some reason my work coded the state I work in as NJ instead of WA when I changed job positions. No wonder my checks seemed so low. At least I’ll have an extra $60+ each month.
Just as I was getting my budget under control Yahoo Billpay has discontinued it’s money manager service. Crapola. So now I don’t have the ability view at all of my accounts in one place. I decided I could do this with Microsoft Money – so I went out – purchased the software – popped it into my computer and…I don’t have Windows 98 SE just Windows 98. Double crapola. The one time I don’t read the box. So now I have to either upgrade to Win98 SE or buy a new computer. HA buy a new computer – who am I kidding like I can afford a new computer right now.
