I have started exercising again. I am doing a 1/2 mile on the gazelle to start back into a routine. I want to have more energy. I want to do a mile a day by March 15. WML
So now I am skipping salt and prepackaged foods. If I could eat more fruits and veggies I think I could lose weight which will help lower my blood pressure. WML
My husband said that my face looks thinner. Yay! He knows that I want to be thinner. I have been overweight for longer than I care to admit. But I am not actively on any weight loss diet. I am cutting out salt to lower my blood pressure.
There are no cookies in the house and I am choosing to eat Corn Chex instead of baking more cookies. At least I will have the pleasure of a satisfying crunch.
I made a pot of chili yesterday. Served it with cornbread. Well it was too sweet. I didn’t add any sugar. So it had to be the beans or the tomato paste. We read the labels. The Kroger Chili Hot Beans used to be good, but now they added cane syrup. WTF? That is just wrong! I won’t be buying those anymore. I may not buy anymore items that are Kroger brand because IMO that’s just so disrespectful. What if I were a diabetic?
I have loved sweets for as long as I can remember and I don’t know if I can kick this addiction. Even as I write this I have a gingerale on my desk.
I believe that if I can quit sugar I can lose weight but I am not sure that I am ready to do that. It’s so personal.
