I have lost 66.8lbs…wow that is just crazy.

Well I did it 18 months ago

I am past my first goal of 50lbs. I wanted it in 12 weeks and it took 14weeks but it is still a pretty damn amazing accomplishment. Most important is that I didn’t give up when I didn’t do it in the set time and that I didn’t beat myself up about it. Not too long ago I would have cried and been defeated by not doing my goal in the set time. I never would have looked at the outstanding accomplishment of 46lbs in 12 weeks only that I didn’t get 50lbs. I am so happy to have this amazing emotional transformation in my life it is so much more important than the physical though I love it too. So I set my next goal as 25lbs. So I am 1.2lbs into that. So I am down a total of 51.2lbs!! The most amazing thing is to pick something up that weighs close to that and realize how much it really is. If you are losing weight and you hit a number like 20 or 25lbs go to the store and pickup that much me and take a peak at how much it is. Now mind you the size is less because it’s more muscle and what you lose is more fat(hopefully) but it gives you an idea. Or try picking up a baby that weighs close to what you have lost…shocking that you were actually lugging that around all along huh?

At the end of 12 weeks 18 months ago

Ok so I was just shy of my goal but still managed an amazing loss either way. My goal was 50lbs in 12 weeks, I was just shy of that at 46lbs. I checked this as done because I wanted it to be more in the thought of done than as “going to”. (yes I’m manifesting…lol…wait that is on my list too) Anyway I am still on my program and my doctor is so amazed with my success. I am about to read Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto and look into his methods. It’s suppose to be very educating on the body and how it works with food. I also have seen some of the results of his program. The great thing is he doesn’t try to sell you a million products he just tries to educate you on how the body works as a machine and how to make it run efficiently. I downloaded the ebook yesterday and printed it out (killed and ink cartridge or two) and put it into a 3 ring binder so I can read it and highlight stuff that is important to me. Good luck to everyone with this goal. Know that when you put your mind to it you can do it. I have been a yo-yo dieter all of my life and decided I was tired of it. I also have learned to love and except myself as a person. This has allowed me to know that I deserve to be healthy and happy and that it is ok for me to be good to myself by taking care of myself.

At 8 weeks 19 months ago

So by doing other goals it helped do this goal…multitasking what can I say. :) I started a medically supervised weight loss program 8 weeks ago. A few of my coworkers are on it to which is nice cause e can all support each other. I pretty much have been a yo yo dieter all my life and decided that I was tired of it. I went with this program because I knew someone who lost 70lbs on it. I decided that I was going to commit to this for as long as it takes because I was worth it. I set my self an initial goal and a deadline. I started March 12th and set a goal of 50lbs by June 1st (which after looking at the calender I changed to June 4th cause I weigh-in on Wednesdays)which is 12 weeks. Now some people thought I was being a little unrealistic when I told them this. I had to meet with a doctor the day I started and get a consultation, a check up & run an EKG to clear me for the program. I asked him if that was an unreasonable or unreachable goal. He looked at the calender and told me that it was not an easy goal but if I was dedicated it was both. So this past Wednesday was the end of 8 weeks on the plan and so far I am down 34.6lbs which gives me 4 weeks to lose 15.4lbs so I’m very much on track to achieve that. ( I have avg. about .5lbs more per week than I have to do to get to my goal weight) I did not begin working out until I got into my 8th week so as long as I add that in and stick to it I should hit the 50lbs and then some. After that I will set another goal, not sure what it will be as I don’t really have a number in mind. I will never fit into what the standard height weight appropriate ratio because I will always weigh a little more even when I get thinner. (I know this cause I once was…lol)I am a busty girl , all the women in my family are (well except my cousin she swears she got her dad’s chest…lol)and breast tissue is heavier than most people realize. So for me it is more about feeling healthier and how my clothes look on me than a number. I would say I will be happy to be around a size 6 or 8. But I will know it when I get there. For now I am just setting goals to achieve as I get there. This is the biggest one I will have and I am almost there so I am checking it off and claiming it now. So I rejoined the gym I use to belong to today. I met with a trainer and started working out today. It’s a 24 hour gym so I have no excuse not to work out. I also managed to get him to barter training for massage…yippie. I have a very extreme but obtainable goal 50lbs in 2 months.

In the left hand column go down to Water cure recipe and nutrition. Seems interesting I might give it a shot. If nothing else it will help me get my goal of drinking more water achieved. : )
