I have started to run again. I have moved from Daytoba Beach to Fort Lauderdale for a new job. I am working third shift so it is hard to find time to run. I have been running on my days off, and after I finish a ten hour shift 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

I just got done running a few miles on the beach. This is my new running spot. There is always a nice sea breeze and Daytona Beach has nice hard packed sand to run on. Although the sand is hard packed it is still less stressfull on the joints because it has some give to it. Plus there are always other people out walking, running, and bike riding.
I love to run it is the only time when I don’t worry about anything else but running. I don’t think about how I want to smoke a joint, I don’t worry about paying my rent, etc…
I ran 2.5 miles this morning. It was the first time I have run in about three weeks. I had good timing too, it rained right after I ran,Tropical Storm Alberto.
I have been working a lot lately and I haven’t run in a while. I have the day off tommorrow so I will run.
I was up to late last night and the clocks changed. Work was busy last night, and my legs are tired, and I have to work again tonight.
I have been having a hard time breaking through the 3 mile barrier. I have been running for a few months now and have gained some endurance, and lost a few extra pounds, but when I get to about 3 miles I am just done. Does anybody have any tips for a novice runner.
2.5 Miles today. I will run again tomorrow. Maybe I will time my mile and then continue more distance at a slower pace. I want to be able to run the mile in 7 minutes or less.
2.5 Miles without stopping. Tomorrow I am going to time my 1-mile. If I get it under 7 minutes I can check of another goal on my list.
I was going strong for a while there. I haven’t run in a almost a week now.
