I think I might be obsessing about this. I’m thrilled with every little hit, each comment. I think I should disengage from a goal of trying to force more visitors. I’ll concentrate on showing great pictures and writing well on my blog. That HAS to help, right?

I added a link to my blog to my gmail account. I don’t know if I want everyone I know to read my blog but on the other hand why do I put it out there if I don’t want them to read it?
I’m on a buncha email lists … here’s a way (subtle, right?) to advertise without having to be obvious. Or is this too too obvious?

I find great blogs primarily by serendipity. When I read a great comment, I often go to the commenters’ blog to see what they’re all about.
If you will come to my blog, http://mysillyvalley.typepad.com/ and read a couple of things, comment on at least one and leave the address of your blog, I promise I’ll come read yours and comment back. I will even add you into my “looking at” list.
I am comment-less and weary of it.

If it’s something my 7 year old can’t look at or my 15 year old shouldn’t, I probably won’t link. Anything else, fine! Let’s make a deal …

My life is full of bizarre and dramatic episodes. My son won’t sleep, my wheels fall off, a roommate from (mumblemuble) years ago suddenly contacts me—and she found me on CLASSMATES. Who knew all that spam would pay off.
I’m contemplating whether my 10 year relationship … which involves 2 great kids … is what I really want. What I think I really want is to feel that …. mmmmmmm…. THAT THING that I know I’m missing.
I’m thinking about all those things. And Burning Man. And my job that’s comfortable and relatively easy but not all that exciting. And maybe that’s OK. And the PTA and whether the politics is screwy or if it’s just All Me.
It’s usually All About Me, though.
