learn php and mysql

I bought a manual from Barnes & Noble today that is about php and MySQL. Maybe I’ll be able to grok it much better than trying to read it off the computer screen – or mybe not who knows, we’ll try this out and see how it works.

I met up with the website team from church today and they are getting ready to start working out a new CMS direction for the church website. This will be so that the whole church can keep updated on the events and leadership will be able to edit pages without having to know any special code. We will have our first meeting tuesday, and then we’ll talk about whether it’s gonna be an inhouse construction, an open source solution or if we’ll buy somebody’s plan and cram it into the space. Anyway, I am hoping to be able to learn how to use php and MySQL databases.
