For the past two weeks, I’ve tried to do one somewhat random, nice, unexpected thing each day. These are very simple things: writing thank you notes, lending out books, buying potted tulips for a co-worker’s birthday, nominating a co-worker for an award. Easy stuff. It’s probably done more good for me than for anyone else. I feel so calm after I do something, even better when it’s anonymous. I feel more at ease and just generally happier. Wow.
