when i went to live to iran in 2001, i was totally hit with a wave of new things, such as the religion, the language. the way of life, the letters, the food, the smells, the weather, hahah just about everything.
After adjusting a bit i decided to go on and study the alphabet that is very simliar in farsi and arabic just a few different letters but thats about it. and then i would practice on my way to school tryin to read all the signs and street names and writing names and stuff even i started writing in english and spanish but in arabic letters it was quite fun and i really practiced and got used to writing with the letters and from right to left. besides i could write in my journal or whatever little notes and no one would understand haha. i’ve made lots of arab friends and they have all taught me lots of new words in arabic and now i have a notebook full of words phrases and anything that can be useful. I really wish and hope that with my practice i can learn more and one day be able to speak arabic fluently of course i will have to go to an arabic country for a while to listen to it everyday and learn it faster..nothing is better than listening to the language all day long.
Thats how i learned farsi hehe.
