listening to it in the car 2 years ago

I’ve sort of moved away from reading it, but I’ve got the cd’s on in my car all the time. I love hearing it. I listen to certain chapters over and over…like King Benjamin’s address.

I love him so much I named my first son after him!

Rome's paintings drew me in and made me want to immerse myself in it again. 2 years ago

Soon after we arrived in the Hill Cumorah Visitor’s Center, the three jpeople I was with left to get food for their lunch from the grocery store. Meanwhile I stayed in the visitor’s center. I borrowed a copy of the book of Mormon from them. They have plastic covers on them and have their other things in there too, like photos and scritgpures and such.

Anyway, the room was filled with beautiful paintings by Rome. I took photos of them all. I also read the names of the paintings and the scripture references along with the while I looked at and studied all the paintings and the scriptures that go with them.

It was a very uplifting experience. I just couldn’t get enough of the Book of Mormon.

Here they are.

1. They saw the Heavens Open 3 Ne 17:24
2. One by One 3 Ne 11:15
3. Behold the lamb of God 1 Nephi 11:20-21
4. His Father Rejoiced Mosiah 27, 20
5. I even remain alone Mormon 8:3
6. Their joy was full 1 Ne 5:7
7. in the service of your God Mosiah 2:17
8. Marvelous were the prophecies of ether Ether 13:13
9. They put their trust in God Alma 57:27
10. She had supposed we had perished 1 Ne 5:1-2
11. He did bring glad tidings to my soul Helaman 13:7
12 Alma Arise Mosiah 27:13
13 Come into the fold of God Mosiah 18:8.

I put the book of mormon on my iPod 3 years ago

I figured I could listen to it from time to time.

So I went through the chapters I added and I rated them. Now I can listen to the ones that I get something out of…it’ll jump start my spirituality, or at least my reading.

what’s wrong with just reading? Satan doesn’t want me to read or to pray. I think he’s winning.

What a horrible thought!

remedying the burnt out effect 3 years ago

I got pretty burnt out with the Book of Mormon last fall when we read it as a family as per President Hinckley’s council.

We had to read two or more chapters a day, so there wasn’t time to ponder anything. I really didn’t like doing that, especially with all the flack the kids gave about doing it.

However, the boys are acting more like future elders, they’re both presidents of their quorums.
