organise a charity event

Ok, so i was meant to have this all organised by today , before i left. It hasn’t happened but it is still happening in June and all the important stuff is organised anyway!

Its all coming together so well! I am just in the middle of filling out the application to the Make a Wish Foundation, Australia to officially use them as the beneficiary of the event.I didn’t realise it would be as complicated as it is but in the end it isn’t really that difficult.
I’m approaching our suppliers to see if they will donate food. But to do anything else i just have to wait for the approval of The Make a Wish Foundation so i can officially use their name to advertise and to receive receipts for tax deductable donations.
My brother is donating a flight in a Tigermoth to the auction which is awesome! I have always wanted to go up in it and wear those big goggles and a flight suit , just haven’t gotten around to it. I’m donating myself as a body artist for a party, i might do some work at the event aswell.My sister works in a local reserve and is donating a koala bonding experience,haha, no idea what to call it. Come to think of it i have always wanted to hug a koala too, they’re claws are so scary though. Its great that we can donate prizes for such a personal event. It is like a way we feel we can give to someone who has passed away.
We have such great friends to support us aswell.

this is actually starting to come together! It will take place in a local cafe , we are charging an entrance fee which will cover fingerfood and drinks and I have started collecting some really cool prizes that we will hold an auction on. People have been so generous! I feel so blessed over how easy this has turned out to be.
i’m just not sure as to whether i should hold a silent auction or not. Will people be daunted by competition or will it get them motivated to make a higher bid??? We’ve decided to donate the money to the “make a wish foundation”. my mum would of really loved this!or rather she will be loving it! Yae!!!

I have decided that i would like to organise a charity event in memory of my mum for the 3rd year anniversary of her passing away (heaven Day anniversary!), which is June 14th.I’ve just come up with this idea so i am not sure how to go about it yet. I think i will have to start by putting all my ideas to paper..
