Fell down and cracked a rib (and no, I wasn't drunk!!!) 5 days ago

So, uncomfortable and not able to do all the same exercises as before but still perfectly able to go to the gym and walk, run, stretch, do bicep curls, etc.



It's been tough lately, with my sleep 12 months ago

being totally messed-up, so I haven’t worked out as much as I’d like. Missed my meeting with my trainer on monday because I was sleeping! It’s expensive to spend $75 when I sleep through the appointment.

Time to get back on track.



restarted with a personal trainer 14 months ago

and have just restarted with my walking group. Well, it’s a start. Let’s hope it pays off.



Worked out daily since the 16th of January. 23 months ago

Okay. So that’s only 4 days but it’s a good start.

I need to get going on SparkPeople again – it motivates me to use their tool of getting points for working out.



Had a free training session at the gym today 2 years ago

for an hour. Almost vomitted afterwards since I hadn’t eaten a proper meal or even a snack for hours and hours. But, I did well and have no doubt I’ll be sore tomorrow. Hooray. Sort of.



Ran today. 2 years ago

Not far. Not well. Not fast. But I ran, so Hoorah anyway.



My Ipod was stolen 2 years ago

and with the insurance money, I bought myself a Samsung YP as the replacement. It helps me SO MUCH to have music while I work out. But, can’t figure out how to use the dang thing, so my trips to the gym tend to be short.



Went to the gymn for the first time in weeks 2 years ago

It felt good, but I’m waaay out of shape. At this point, Im closer to 5 times/ month than /week. Will try harder next time.



off the wagon... for now 2 years ago

I was travelling. And then sick. Tried going to the gym 3 days ago and had to leave after 10 minutes ‘cuz feeling like I was going to faint. Currently trying to just get healthy before I really push myself again. Hope to go to the gym a few times this week but do mild stuff like stretching and walking on treadmill, maybe some light weights. Seems as though going thru the motion of going to the gym and being a bit active is more important at this stage than really pushing myself to Feel the Burn.



So far, so good. 2 years ago

I’m not finding this as tough as I thought I would. Granted, I’ve only been at it for 3 weeks, but so far I’ve managed to go to the gym 5 times/ week.

I have to take the next month off, alas, since I’ll be travelling in far-off lands. But, the fact that I’ve managed to make a good start at this has encouraged me to no end. I think that once I return from travelling, I’ll be able to pick up again where I left off.

Even in 2 weeks, I feel a little stronger, look a little firmer, feel a little prouder. I encourage all of you who are considering this as a goal to give it a try… it’ll make you feel good about yourselves!
