Well, maybe not every week.
When I’m busy, I review the goals less often.
When I’m stressed or have time, I review them more often.
But no need to keep this on my list – it’s become fairly automatic.
Ciao!

before I go sleepy-byes. But, I really wanted to write this tonight (well, I also really wanted to procrastinate; ah, the joys of 43Things!)
Basically, I’d like to totally revamp my list before the end of January. While I do want to visit my cousins the orangutans in Borneo and I very, very much want to see euthanasia legalized, I think I’ll have to strike these long-term goals because in 2008 I hope to use 43Things more for those things that I want to work on during this calendar year. My character tends to err on the side of dreaminess, which can be wonderful, but I want to rein in that quality a bit during the upcoming months and focus on getting some stuff done.
I think it will be a fascinating, if at times gruelling, exercise for me to work on my “doing muscles” when it feels as though my “dreaming muscles” are much more well-developed.
So, watch for major changes in this list over the next weeks…
As well as being the end of the calendar year. I’d like to think about my goals for the next 12 months and give myself a figurative kick in the pants. I hope that reviewing these goals will help me stay on track.
and re-ordered my list a bit. Feels good to keep things fluid.
“ignore Paris Hilton” because I’d received 70 cheers on it and I figured I’d spread the word enough. Also, ignoring that useless excuse for a human is something I do now automatically, without even having to think about it. So, I figure it no longer has to be a goal. YAY.
Because, sometimes having things listed differently allows one to “see” them and think of them in an entirely new way. Re-ordering can be part of my review, too.
today and it feels good. Even though having to give up on certain goals never feels wonderful, I’m glad that I’m re-working my goals and keeping on top of my progress, failures and learnings.
I’d highly recommend a regular goal review for everyone on this site, to be honest!
I never get up before 8am. I just don’t. I wish I did, and some day I will, but for now… it just ain’t happening. So, I have to think about whether to change it to something more realistic – say, 9:30 – or to remove it entirely from this list or to really re-commit myself to making the effort to totally change when I go to bed, trying to sleep, getting up early, etc.
Today I gave up on “learn to squash” because while I do want to take up Squash again, it’s not going to happen any time soon and I want to keep my list updated.
Also, I deleted “Learn to Use 43 things.” This was never I goal I choose but it was automatically added to my list when I posted a question. I wasn’t upset by this, but figured I want to keep my list consisting of things that are truly priorities in my life, so off it went. B’bye.
This week I added a few new goals, including one asking other 43things-ers to click on a site dedicated to ridding the world of child porn. This is more of a priority at the moment than learning how to play squash :)
