I have not written any entries under this goal as I find it quite difficult to always know my heartrate.

I workout in the gym generally six times per week plus I do boxercise one night a week which definitely gets my heartrate up. If anything I am trying to replace two of these sessons with something a little gentler like yoga or pilates.

My target heart rate is 115 to 160 according to the gym equipment – problem is I mostly run on the treadmills and the heartrate monitors don’t work when I run! Grrr! Mostly I am within my target when on other equipment.

The other problem (although I am told it is a good thing) is that I have naturally quite a slow heartrate. I was once asked by a nurse if I was a marathon runner (before I exercised at all) due to my slow pulse! Therefore it takes a little more to keep my heartrate up – sometimes when I am cycling and am sweating and really going for it and my heartrate only reads 85 – more grrrrr!

Anyway, I have decided to make this goal as complete as I have worked out four times or more each week since the start of July! I’m going to focus more on balancing my exercise whilst continuing to work towards my 10k!
