Has had me learn so many places I didn’t know were right on my doorstep. I’m loving discovering the town I live in and finding lovely places to visit.

Blind to the beauty all around  — 1 year ago

A few weeks ago my Dad took me out for the day and I saw places on my doorstep that I have never seen despite living in Kent (‘The Garden of England’) for over ten years!

Realising what delights I am too busy rushing around to see has made me vow to explore my local area a bit more with the open and eager eyes of a visitor. Now we have the sat nav as well I feel even more confident to venture out into the many little unknown villages and towns within a stones throw.

Here’s the start of my tourist to do list:

  • Blean Woods
  • The Shell Grotto
  • Leeds Castle
  • Kirsney Abbey
  • Whitstable
  • Wingham Bird Park
