India was great!!!! Five weeks flew by in a blink. There is so much to see and do. It was an amazing, soulful experience!!! I will probabky go back next year.
Have two smaller trips planned – Denver in September and Lake Anna, VA in October. Both are small gatherings with friends and I am looking forward to them. I have been to Denver before but never to that particular part of Virginia.

May have to forego plans for Egypt/Turkey in the fall for something closer to home. A visit to Chicago may be in the works. Or, NYC perhaps. That would work for two goals. :-)

It is on! I bought my ticket to India. It is going to be very, very hot but it is the only time I could go so I am really looking forward to it.
I haven’t decided where to go in the fall. I am hoping for Egypt or Turkey but finances will dictate if that plan materializes or not.

Well our Thanksgiving weekend plans didn’t transpire but I am traveling on business next week. Does that count? I hope it does! :-)
I am looking forward to Tampa. Temperatures are expected to be in the 80s which is fine with me. VA and MD after that which are distinctly cooler but not too bad at this time of the year (I hope). Not that I will have time to really go see anything.

November plans
I am firming up my summer plans for India but meanwhile, I have started thinking about my plans for November. I may have a couple of days left after my summer trip and I could combine them with the Thanksgiving weekend to visit one country.
So far, Egypt and Turkey are top contenders, though South America or Mexico have not been ruled out. London and Paris are out because of the weather – too cold for me!!! Let’s see what happens! Suggestions are always welcome! :-)

We decided to rent a RV and drive from Dallas to Los Angeles in December. We started on the 22nd, took I-15 and headed westwards. Stopped in Amarillo the first night and reached Flagstaff the next night. Spent a couple of days seeing the Grand Canyon. Was much colder than I had expected and I guess we should have been better prepared. It was still an enjoyable trip. We will probably go back for a longer visit sometime soon.
After spending Christmas at the Grand Canyon, we once again headed west and reached Los Angeles on the 26th. We got to meet family and friends, including my 2 week old niece, spent New Year’s with them and headed back via I-10, spending the night at Phoenix and El Paso.
Overall the trip was great. Weather was wonderful with clear blue skies and no rain/snow anywhere. We did have problems with high winds in a few places but it was great!!! We will probably do this again soon. It was a great way of seeing the country up close though we didn’t stop as often as we would have liked.
One compromise that we did make was staying at hotels and not at RV parks. Maybe next time around that will be different.
