I head to town, pick up my oldest and drive him to work. The buses don’t run so he’d have a fair jaunt on his hands if I didn’t. He has no problem doing the hike but enjoys having our time together(not to mention the “Jethro lunch I pack him) When he was a teen things at home were very trying for both of us. We’re over that now and have developed a great relationship. I’m so grateful for my kids!

I’m learning and it’s paying off.(I think)
My son has no longer got a strangle hold on him ( the girlfriend is gone) and I didn’t jump for joy, yell out “Yippie” or anything of that sort. I behaved myself, didn’t bring it up at all. So glad to see the old Tim back!
Yesterday was my oldest son’s birthday. We took him out for dinner along with his grandmother. His language was a bit colourful at times to say the least(especially with my mom there). But I bit my tongue (I think he was testing me) and just ignored it.
I think that over the years I have learned not to react in some instances….not worth the fight.
