Today made up a double batch of bits and bites-a batch of peanut butter balls-a container of vodka slush- and peanut butter cornflake cookies.
Next on the list-Apricot bars(my personal fav)

On the counter sits a rhubarb pie and the tarts went in the lunch boxes.
My husband picked the rhubarb for me. It grows wild along side of our fields.
Since the nicer weather has arrived I’m spending more of my time outdoors rather than in the kitchne. it’s been rainy on and off for the past couple of days so I managed to finally whip something yummy up for the family. I got my daughter to scan my recipe books for something we’ve never tried and she picked Caramel Squares. Very tasty!!!!
Not good. I always prided myself in having homemade goodies in the cupboard for the school lunches.Lately it’s been rice krispie squares or spider cookies. Not good enough. Long weekend coming up so I’ll be tying up the apron strings and baking up a storm.
It’s in the oven ! I’m teaching my 13 year old—-she’s really got the knack.
Smells reallllllly good in the house right now. I do wish however, that I had started this project sooner as it’s almost 10 pm and I’m bushed after a long day at work. I need to get the cream cheese frosting on before I crash.
I know that my co-workers are gonna love this treat for tomorrow’s team meeting.
