get my nose re-pierced

Oh I finally did it. My previously mentioned girlfriend and I went to Chapel Hill one weekend back in October, I was a little under the weather and one of our favorite local bands had a show, so we got my nose pierced and then went to the show. It made me happy in that moment and actually it still does :) It looks totally rockin and I’ve really been enjoying it. I’m glad I finally did it. Now I just have to get the jewelry changed. Maybe that should be a new 43 things goal. I took this photo the night it was done, that’s why it’s so red an angry.

I had my nose done originally in 2003 when I lived in KC. The needle they used was way bigger than I wanted it to be, and when it healed I got a different, smaller stud and it kept falling in the hole and annoying me. One day on my way to work I took it our because it was annoying me a lot that day and when I came home I couldn’t get back in. Now I need to have it redone and last weekend I had a sleepover with some of my girlfriends from work, we were supposed to go get it done the next day but it didn’t pan out. One of the guys we work with has a tattoo/piercing shop and on Sunday we were supposed to go over there and get my nose done. Well, my main partner in crime was not able to come because she had just switched her insulin and she had an adverse reaction to the change and since she was the main person interested in going with me I didn’t want to do it without her. Maybe she wanted to get something pierced or tattooed or something. So we have to reschedule. I’d like to get it done soon. I have an ungodly fear of needles though.
