well I've gone and done it now...hahaha

Well, I bit the bullet and joined the gym today. Walking occasionally and eating well just ain’t doin’ it. Not to mention it’s fall now and after winter sets in I won’t leave the comfort of the heat so walking is out of the question. So the routine starts on Monday morning at 7am before work. The best part is there is a friend from work that is and has been already doing this gym thing so we have agreed to be accountable to one another. So… I’m excited. The main thing for me is that I’m not so much overweight as I need to tone and walking is not going to help with that. If I tone up then those 20 pounds that are bothering me (realisitically I could lose 30-40, but baby steps) will definitely be gone. My goal is to get in better shape and then start into Pilates. I can’t at this point justify the money that it costs because I have no routine to speak of now and I feel like if I”m in better shape I’ll get more for my money.
Nutrition is not the issue for me really. I eat very healthy compared to the general American public and almost everyone I know. I am a wealth of information about nutrition. I would have majored in it at university if mine had a program that wasn’t so excercise and sports focused. If anyone has any questions regarding nutrition I am more than willing to help. Keep in mind though that I am a vegetarian and have been the majority of my adult life :)
