Finally, I posted the whole challenge on my livejournal:
http://nelanj.livejournal.com/2010/06/13/
It needs a ton of html coding. I’m gradually working on formatting it.
Anyone who wishes to copy it, join in the challenge again, go for it! I’ll be here.
Though I’m focusing my attentions on other stuff right now.

ok, so it’s been busy around here, and i’ve lost sight of this awesome challenge.
what i did to encourage fulfilling this challenge, and even doing the whole process over:
i copied and pasted each day’s challenge into a file and have it saved on my mac.
not sure how iVillage works … if they keep challenges like these online for long periods of time.
so if anyone wants a particular challenge or the whole six weeks, i can post it here, in my livejournal or email it to you.

half-baked.
did the thinking, but not the writing. there really was no time to do the writing. i still wanna do this challenge … even if i’m doing the whole mind-body challenge forever.

since the may 17 challenge of laughter was successful the first time, and i need to work on thinking more positively, i tried doing the “practice optimism” challenge, again, today.
it went all right.
it got better as the day went on … mainly, i suspect … because good things started happening.

this challenge is something i’m already practicing through the mind-body challenge.
however, i did as recommended, and kept a list which is quite large. i could add a ton more things i am grateful for overall.
it was a good exercise today, ‘cause i’m feeling a little sad today … i’m sure 90 percent of it is hormonal.
great challenge.

am trying to go back and do the challenges i’ve missed. so this week, i’m gonna try doing the “Focus on the Good” challenges from last week. There are a couple from the week before which I missed, but might do those over the weekend or when I can catch up.
Thinking positively is a mixed process for me. When I think of those whom I really love, I tend to think positively about them and share these thoughts with them. Not always, but a good deal of the time. No one’s perfect. Me, nor them.
When it comes to me and/or things i’m doing and/or events i’m anticipating, i tend to think more negatively.
Today wasn’t a perfect exercise in practicing optimism, but as the day went on, I was gettin’ better at thinking the alternative side.

This challenge came as a surprise attack for me today.
My sis3 arrived from NY early today, and we were enjoying our time together and with Mom most of the day.
Betweem my sister arriving and getting all excited about tomorrow’s Bagel Birthday Bash for our Mom is have been beside myself all day long.
At a couple of points my sis and I were laughing hysterically. It was great.
At dinner, my husband said to me that he hasn’t seen me this happy in a long time.
That’s a great sign.

these past few days have been off, and i don’t even know what today’s nor tomorrow’s challenges are.
everything was going so well. and then i crashed … unexpectedly.
am not giving up on this six-week challenge.
will see what happens in the next day or so.
i hope everyone else is doing better.

not sure if there will be any catchup this weekend … for thursday and friday’s meditation challenges.
today, my husband and i spent most of the day with my mother celebrating mother’s day.
tomorrow we’re heading a couple of hours away to spend the day with my husband’s mom. Unless, my mother-in-law brings her laptop, most likely i won’t have internet acess. oh, and this also depends on whether the phone has been turned on yet.
two great meditation challenges. i hope to try them at some point.
good luck to everyone!
