I’m getting tired of seeing this goal on my list and not being able to do anything about it. Same old problem: I pay part of it, then my mother uses the card again, saying she’ll pay me back, but she rarely does. So I never make any progress.

Don't let your family use your credit card! 13 months ago

This goal is an annoying one. I feel like I’m a mouse in a wheel. And it’s not even my fault that I am in debt; 90% of the purchases were made by my mother, since she doesn’t have a credit card and needed to buy things online. I know this will sound wierd to most people, since usually the parents are the ones complaining about having to pay for their kid’s purchases, not the other way around.

Well, I guess it’s partly my fault too for letting it happen, but how do you say no to your own mother? And she said she would pay me back as soon as she could, but there are bills and everything, and my credit is just not a priority. This really sucks. After I get it paid off, I am going to get rid of that card. Not because I am an irresponsible shopper, I’m not, but because it’s the only way to stop my family from using it and pushing me further into debt. Unfortunately this means that I also won’t be able to shop online. More online stores need to start using PayPal.
