I was reading Chan’s “Wild Swans” to move on with this goal, but I realised unexpectedly that I had read a C book without even knowing it. The book was Louis Chu’s “Eat a Bowl of Tea”.

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. I’ve read it as it is short and I can’t manage to read anything long not connected with my studies at the moment. Anyway, I liked the book on the level of language (especially Russian words included to English phrases, which fortunetely I had no problem with understanding as they’re mostly the same as in Polish). As regards the plot it was unique and extremely innovative for the time when it was written, but I didn’t enjoyed it that much as I had seen the movie. I just had an impression that I was reading the scrrenplay (which of course is a compliment to Kubrick’s movie).
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. I adore her characters. Unfortunetely I can’t read book in order that I want to, beacause of my studies and all the obligatory reading. So I was lucky in a way to read Austen right now. Unfortunetely next readings are by Ellison and Wright so I won’t be able to add anything to this goal for a while.
