before you can REALLY improve your social skills, you need to really make a commitment with yourself, and believe that you are an amazing person. everyone has the innate ability to make solid connections with other ppl, we are all hard-wired to connect from birth, and programmed for kindness and altruism.
its simply a matter of taking things slowly, gradually, day-by-day, and not get bummed out by setbacks (which happen to everyone).
its all about how you perceive a situation, and learning to consciously break down the psychological barries that inevitable come up due to force of habit. but habits can change, so get to work!
