Cold Turkey

I’ve realized it’s too easy to reach for that candy bar when I feel down about myself, so I’m going to try to go cold turkey and not even bring sweets into the house.
Hopefully, I will have some success because I want to not be tempted on Valentine’s Day
I think I’m going to try to increase how much fluid I drink so that I won’t eat as much, and find other things to do when I’m bored.
I also think Ill try to drink at least an 8 ounce glass of juice/water if I feel like sweets.
So thats just a little update :)

Diabetes runs in my family, and I know that means I’m more prone to get it. I figure if I start making healthy choices about food now, then I should be limiting my risk. My mom has already made the decision to limit her sweet intake, which makes it easier for me because there are less sweets around the house. I hope to be sweet free by the beginning of February and remain that way. Its really easy to look at this as I’m losing something, but really I’m gaining a new, healthier lifestyle.
