learn sign language

recently I have thought of starting this up again! I stopped for a long time :( but I will work on this again, its a beautiful way of communicating and I want to be a part of it :)

of learning sign language is by learning one word per day, just for no pressure. I have the signing for dummies book so I look in it each day to find a word. Today’s was “sad” which is by moving both hands, fingers spread apart downward towards your chin making a sad face.

I haven’t been practicing at all! I guess I need some real motivation to keep this up. I will have to find something and finish my sign language book ‘signing for dummies’ and at least know all of the words in there.

I’ve been having fun learning sign language from the book I bought. I feel so excited when I learn a new word and remember it and can sign it. I’m so happy I’ve found something I’m really interested in, and something that can touch other people’s lives. Hopefully I can use it with someone one day and make a difference.

I bought the “signing for dummies” book awhile back and I read through some of it today. I’m going to try to read and practice signing everyday for awhile because It’s the kind of thing that I can forget to practice and learn. I really want to so I’ll incorporate this into my daily routine.

I am going to buy the ‘signing for dummies’ book finally :) and I can begin my learning! I am so excited for this.

Just recently I’ve taken an interest in learning sign language. I’d like to learn to be able to communicate with deaf children and adults, and it would just be really cool to be able to do it. There are a lot of great videos on youtube.com that help with learning American Sign Language. I’ve been having fun learning. It’s also very nice to watch people signing to music on youtube as well.
