knitting a baby blanket right now for my cousins baby. I am so excited to give it to her! here it is so far:
I just knitted a cute pink bow for a bag or purse. I’m going to add a safety pin to the back of it so I can attach it to things. I’m happy with how it turned out :)
I’ve added knitting a baby blanket to the list because very soon my cousin is having a baby and I would love to knit a baby blanket for her. I need to research baby blanket patterns and find the right wool then I’m going to get started!
Just finished knitting a daisy for a friend for her birthday :) it was fun to knit something like that without a pattern just my own little creation. I love knitting.
I’m knitting my Dad a hat for Christmas :) It’s black and in stockinette stitch. I hope it turns out okay, I’ll post some pictures of it when It’s completed :D I’m happy there’s more variety to my knitting these days, feel like I’m making some progress.
Possible Knitting projects:
-Tassles for the bottom of a scarf
-Pom poms (not really knitting, but still with wool)

This cable stitch scarf takes a long time to knit. I think it’s because I’m not doing the same thing over and over, like with garter but I am going slowly because I have to read the pattern. (and I worry I will mess it up if I don’t follow it to a T). Anyways, it’s fun to try something new :D I’m knitting this for my friend B. Sometimes we knit together. I know she’ll appreciate the effort because she’s a knitter herself.
I decided to knit a couple of scarves for my two good friends for Christmas with a cable running through the middle of their scarves.
It has been interesting to learn this new technique, its good to do something different than just garter stitch all the time!
I found a good site that I’ve been following the pattern from and its helped me unlike some other sites and tuturials on youtube I tried. Here’s the site I am using for anyone interested in trying out the cable stitch: http://www.ehow.com/how_2044331_knit-cable-stitch.html.
This will probably take a long time, because there is a pattern, purl 4 times, knit 6 times… but I am expanding my experience and capabilities :) makes me feel like a more experienced knitter. That’s what really matters to me. I want to become great at it!
I’ll post a picture of the scarf when it’s completed
So my next goal is to knit a toy. I have an assignment in one of my college courses to make a toy from scratch out of materials around the home. I will knit something that a child can play with :) need to start researching for patterns! . I’m thinking a doll, a bear, blocks kind of things.
this pattern looks hard but so cute! wish I could do this:http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall07/PATTwoodins.html
