...even though I’m not finished doing daily missions.
I’d like to incorporate this into my other flylady goal.
...even though I’m not finished doing daily missions.
I’d like to incorporate this into my other flylady goal.
Bathroom missions:
1. Clean sinkDONE 5/7/09
2. Clean floor
Other room: Upstairs Hallway
1. Clean carpet Started 5/7/09
I have 3 missions that I’d like to get done in the kitchen today this week:
2. Clean the oven. DONE
3. Clean out the refrigerator. Still left: freezer & exterior
There are 3 missions I’d like to work on this week:
1. Sort thru Christmas stuff in corner of living room. Made a start
2. Sort thru boxes of paper in dining room.
3. Clean curtains in dining room.
...but I’m not. This week in flylady is the week of cleaning in the master bedroom. I wrote this list of things I need to clean in my bedroom 7 months ago! I’m sorry to say that in 7 months I have not done a single thing on the list since then. Thankfully my bedroom is probably the least cluttered rooms in the house, but it is in need of some spring cleaning. Let’s see if I can make some progress this week.
Well, my bedroom is de-cluttered right now. Yay!
The biggest hotspot is the laundry, but I’m trying to make laundry part of my daily flylady routine, so right now it’s not too bad. Here are things that need cleaning in my bedroom, besides the usual vacuuming and dusting and washing sheets:
Clean the fan. DONE 3/25/09.Vacuum all the cat fur under the bed. DONE 3/25/09
Clean the windows.Clean the window blinds. DONE mostly 3/26/09
Put the curtains back up.
Wash the duvet.
Polish the furniture.
Clean a few spots on the rug. Progress if not perfection.
Straighten up and clean my shoes in the closet.
A new bedskirt and duvet cover would be nice.
I won’t get it all done this week, but I can keep working from this list the next time flylady has Master Bedroom Missions.
The flylady missions this week concern the Master Bedroom, but my bedroom is relatively clean and de-cluttered this week. So, I’m going to continue last week’s unfinished bathroom mission, and also work on hotspots. (And try to remember & do my daily routines, too.)
These are the places where clutter tends to accumulate. Over time it becomes invisible because you are so used to it being there.
Here is the status of some of my current hotspots:
| kitchen table | Slightly messy |
| kitchen countertop | Needs work |
| kitchen desk | Cluttered in one corner |
| dining room floor | No progress |
| office floor periphery | Messy |
| old office | Squalorous |
EDIT: Hotspot Update as of 3/30/09:
| kitchen table | Clean |
| kitchen countertop | Satisfactory |
| kitchen desk | Still cluttered in one corner |
| dining room floor | Progress. Still boxes around periphery |
| office floor | Progress. Still boxes around periphery |
| old office | Still squalorous |
She always says that, no matter where you left off last, you can pick up and start again.
I’m intending to start this afternoon on the dreaded cat bathroom. That is, the bathroom with the big litter box in it. The litter creates a lot of dust on every flat surface, which has not been cleaned in a long time and badly needs it. That’s my mission for this afternoon.
