get a job

New year, new start. Everythings going to be better this year. Getting a job is at the top of my 43Things for a reason. I applied at Bob Evans and Ruby Tuesday’s today. hopefully someone will want me.

I know I NEED a job NOW b/c I could really use the money. But then again, I dont really NEED the money. Sure, it’d be nice to be able to go shopping and buy a car and what not; but right now I could do w/o those things. I’ll let me employment break last until I turn 17 at the end of January. I figure it’d be really nice to have the holidays off and not have to work. So, when I turn 17, I’ll go apply at some places and hopefully get a job then. So, for now, this goal is put on hold.

I didnt go turn in my application for Sonic like I promised, but thats ok. My sister’s friend told us her work needed servers and hostesses. My sister applied for server an I applied to be a hostess! Yay! The need hostesses really badly and my sister’s friend can put in a good word for me, so hopefully this works out. They pay 8.15/hour!! Thats amazing. I really hope I get this job. I NEED a job.

I know I said I promise by the end of the weekend, but I PROMISE I’ll apply at Sonic tomorrow after school. Hopefully. I dont have my own car, so I guess I dont really get to decide when I go. There has to be a car available for me to use for a while. Tomorrow though…. I’ll try my hardest to go to Sonic and apply.

I’m going to be a senior next year (high school) and I’m signing up for the work program- thats where you only go to school for half a day, and then you get credits for working. If I dont have a job by spring then I wont get into the work program, and I’ll have to go to school for a full day. That would be awful!

I will go apply at Sonic this weekend. I’m going to so that I can start working. I figured how I could work 30 hours a week there. I need the money, so I’m willing to give up most of my nights to work.

I need a job. I WANT a job! No one wil hire me! Looks like I’m gonna have to resort to Sonic! By the end of the week,I’m sure, thats where I’ll be. Oh well… money is money.

Dierbergs said they dont need people right now, Old Navy said they need more employees over 18 (I’m not), and Michaels and Linens N Things didnt work out either. I dont think DSW or Supermarket of Shoes is going to call me either. Hopefully Best Buy will call by the end of next week; or else Sonic, her I come!

I’ve applied at many many places over the weekend: Supermarket of Shoes, Best Buy, DSW Shoes, Borders, Dierbergs, Michaels, & Linens N Things. I’m not sure if Old Navy is going to work out but they said they are going to “try” to set up an interview for me. If nothing comes up in the next couple of weeks, I’m going to go apply at Sonic. I used to work at Sonic and I hated it. But if I cant get anything else, I’ll just go work at a different Sonic. I know I’ll get hired there, and its better than no money. So, I guess we’ll see.

I can’t get a car unless I pay for it myself and I cant afford a car unless I get a job. No one will hire me. It sucks. I feel like a failure b/c of it.
