is to drop one toy a week. DD is dropping the first toy today. will post photos later!

I finally finished Slush and Ginger (have I said how much I love these Funky Friends Factory patterns?)

I also bought some patterns from http://www.funkyfriendsfactory.com/home.aspx so I can make some Christmas toys. I love the patterns from this site as they are really easy to make and they look really good when they are made. Looking forward to getting some sewing done over the next two weeks. I am hoping to get some made to put under the wishing tree at Kmart too. Heigh ho heigh ho it’s off to sew I go….

My daughter wanted to go to the museum and since it is school holidays there were plenty of kids there. We dropped two toys and watched adults walk straight past one while their child kept looking back at it and trying to stop. The adults just kept walking and were almost dragging the child along, it was kind of sad. :0( (the child was only small about 3 or 4 I would say) Later as we were going up to another level we noticed a girl who was old enough to read reading the tag. She picked it up and another child started chasing her and trying to take it off her. (nice to know it was wanted but also kind of sad!) The second toy was dropped and taken but then left again, strangely enough in close proximity to where we had left the first toy. I haven’t seen any updates on the toy society pages yet to say whether they were found or not, but it was inetresting to see the various happenings around the toys. It has been a big lesson on doing something for someone without expecting anything in return.

Here is the giraffe I made and dropped. I left it at the Townsville Hockey Complex!

that I had for toys, I am sure I have another one somewhere. I will keep looking for it but I can start with the 2 I have for now! Can’t wait to get started!
