Become more environmentally friendly

was almost full last collection day and the rubbish bin was only about a quarter full (admittedly the rubbish bin gets emptied twice as much) but that was awesome progress it used to be the other way round. I will be very pleased if I can keep that up and start composting more.

I noticed today that the recycle bin is more full as it gets close to recycling day than it used to be, so I am making some progress but I’m sure that I could do more.

looking after my yard. We now have 2 big piles of mulch to help with the water saving in the garden. It just has to get spread out.

for me so that I do it more regularly. I am getting better but I want to do more. Any ideas????

recycle more during 2007. I am a bit lazy when it comes to recycling and it is very important to me to do more of it.

about conservation volunteers, and want to go again tomorrow since it is the school holidays

Took a friend who also took a friend to conservation volunteers today. We had 200 trees that needed to be watered(using buckets)

Joining Conservation Australia has been a great experience and I think my daughter is enjoying it to! She is trying to get some of her friends to help out too. We helped do some planting last weekend and we were treated to the sight of some of the beautiful birds that visit the area that is being replanted.

Tomorrow my daughter and I are doing our first volunteering session with Consevation Volunteers Australia. It means an early start but it will be worth it!
