Added 5 days of workouts this week, including four hours of hiking up and down a mountain today. There are only 6 weeks until the Grand Canyon hike and I’m paranoid that I won’t be in good enough shape to enjoy it. This is getting me in shape.

Getting ready to traverse the Grand Canyon is helping me to increase my workouts.
So two months have gone by and I am now up to 22 workouts. My goal is 150 workouts for the year. Part of it was losing momentum due to being sick and then taking a while to get in the swing of things again. Cold mornings have not helped.
On the plus side, I have 10 weeks to get in shape for a thru hike of the Grand Canyon, so I HAVE TO to workout more.
Only up to 18 workouts since 1/1. I was gong strong, then got a bad cold. Getting back into the swing of it though.
So far I have 16 workouts done in 35 days. Mostly these have been at the gym but a few have been trail hikes. I am considering a backpacking trip to the Grand Canyon. I’ve never backpached before, but am looking at outfitters. One ouotfitter recommends hiking or working out five hours per week. That will definitely help towards obtaining this goal.
