Week 4 | May 8th | 69.4kg 3 years ago

oh dear :-( managed to put on a kilo since last week. I was doing well until Friday, but celebrating my birthday on Sat and Sun rather spoilt things !

On the plus side, I did exercise 3 times and do a lot of walking. I do feel better about my body and feel that I am getting more toned. I’ll just try again this week :-)

Week 3 | April 17th | 68.5 Kg 3 years ago

I didn’t track last week (totm) but have lost half a kilo in the last 2 weeks, so at least I haven’t gained. Will try and track weight this week as well as fitting in some exercise !

New goal again! Week 1 | April 17th | 69 Kg 3 years ago

I’d given up on tracking my food and weight the last weeks, primarily because of the thesis and job hunt. But since I’ve now handed in (and will hopefully soon have a job) I have decided to start again.

My weight has gone back up to 69kg (10 stone 12.5 pound) and I’m aiming to be 63-64kg by the summer (10 stone or thereabouts). I will track my calories on weightlossresources and aim to lose a pound or half a kg a week. I will also exercise 5 times a week. Wish me luck :-)

New goal! Week 1 | March 10th | 67.9 Kg 3 years ago

I’ve been stuck at 10 stone 9 for weeks now and I’m fed up. However, if I’m being truthful I’ve given up tracking what I eat, although I have still been exercising.

So, it’s a fresh start for spring! My new goal is 63 kilograms. I’ve also decided to track in kg :-) So, 10 weeks, 5 kilos?

Week 24 | 10 stone 9 | Feb 20th 3 years ago

Put on half a pound :-( But to be far, I haven’t been tracking my food at all and I only managed 2 lots of exercise: the DVD on Thursday and yoga on Friday.
Never mind, onwards and upwards!

Week 21 | 10st 8.5lb | Feb 6th 3 years ago

I ran 5 times last week and did the DVD once, tracked food most of the week, but only lost a pound :-( Mind you, I’m feeling a lot better about my fitness and body, so that’s good, and I’ll forge ahead with baby steps!

Week 21 | 10st 9.5lb | Jan 30th 3 years ago

Well, lost 1.5 pounds last week which was truly amazing, given the lack of exercise and the fact I just stopped counting!

Mon: 1100 + 307 (44.25 run/walk) = 1407 | ? | ?
Tues: 1100 = ? ? | ? | ?
Weds: 1100 = ? ? | ? | ?
Thurs: 1100 = ? ? | ? | ?
Fri: 1100 = ? ? | ? | ?
Sat: 1100 = ? ? | ? | ?
Sun: 1100 = ? ? | ? | ?

Week 20 | 10st 1lb | Jan 23rd 3 years ago

Put on a pound this week, but looking back, there were quite a few days when I just stopped counting!
BUT, I did exercise 5 times – 2 Davina DVDs and 3 runs – so this is good news :-)

I’ve decided to start weighing myself on a Friday, which will hopefully help me to focus on being good during the week. The trouble with a Monday morning weigh-in, is that there’s no time to repair the damage from the weekend!

Week 19 | 10st 10.5 lb | Jan 16th 3 years ago

I lost a pound and a half this week, plus I exercised 5 times. I need to do more of the same this week I think! I am feeling a lot better about my body size and shape, and generally feeling a lot fitter, so that has to count for something!

The ncot "What's in your fridge" quiz.... 3 years ago

Since we all seem to be restarting diets and trying to be good, I thought we should examine our fridges! :-)

1. List the contents of your fridge (honestly now…)
lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper & courgettes, potatoes
eggs, christmas cake, dates and figs
ham, salami, pickled onions, camembert, brie
green olives, black olives, pesto
bread, low fat natural yoghurt, cottage cheese, margarine
fresh rosemary, parmesan cheese, peanut butter
small green peppers in jar, wine peppercorn mustard, redcurrant jelly, mayonnaise, tomato puree, tomato ketchup, sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, worcestershire sauce
insulin supplies
Water, orange juice, skimmed milk

2. Favourite food in fridge?
Christmas cake (home made by me, Delia’s irish whisky version!)

3. Item of food mostly likely to rot and fester (until you finally admit you’re not going to eat it and bin it!)
The jar of mustard (hate mustard, it was a gift)
plus I’m never going to use the insulin (it’s hubbie’s!)

4. Food you wish you had in fridge
clotted cream, strawberry jam & scones (bit early I know!)
Failing that, strong mature cheddar cheese
