Today I woke up at 5:30 am to go for a run. It wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be to get out of bed. It was so beautiful, because it was snowing. So serene. Just me and my thoughts, telling me that this was a good choice, and that if it’s something that’s important to me, there’s nothing to stand in my way.

It’s been 3 days sans any physical activity. Yuck! My leg muscles feel weird. I kinda have an excuse…Just finished celebrating Uki (Ukrainian) Christmas, so things were really hectic. BUt can’t go for 4 days without moving. Tomorrow is another day. A good, long run will get things back to normal.
Yesterday, I felt the urge to get up and move…so I did! In the morning (after church, of course) went for a power walk that lasted an hour. Even though my ipod gave up on me, I kept going and admired the sounds of the snow crunching beneath me and the birds up above. Then last night, I put in another hour (ipod fully recharged). I slept very well last night on account of feeling pooped…but a good pooped.
you know, in the past three days I’m committed myself to working out for at least half and hour and I’m down six pounds. This is a good sign. Gotta stay motivated
This morning, did my Tae-Bo tape that I’ve put on hold for two weeks due to…procrastination. Just came back from my evening walk. Sidewalks were sooo slippery, so I decided to walk on the street (don’t worry – I walked facing traffic and on side streets with little traffic)
Now that school is out for 2 weeks, I’ve committed myself to being active everyday and hopefully can keep that as a routine once school restarts.
