But not a single re-register yet. It’s a little disheartening, I’m trying to label all the books prominently and I put them in safe public places where they won’t be discarded. I guess I shouldn’t judge how it is going until I at least hit 50 releases, and I should try to spread my releases out more. There’s two main places where I put them, a coffee shop and a bar. Both have bookshelves for sharing, but perhaps it’s not the right type of people.

at my local coffee shop. Well, I only released 9 books, but that takes us up to 20 books released so it did practically double my involvement. We’re still waiting for someone to catch a release…I hope it happens soon.
Over the weekend my boyfriend and I dropped two more, making that 10 all-time wild releases. We have yet to have any of our releases caught. I’ve also noticed that there aren’t that many people releasing books in our city. I think I’m going to have to start hand passing books that I’ve read and reviewed just to get some journaling going on.
Release 4 books into the wild today and picked up two! It’ll be fun to read these books someone else felt like passing on.
Is this a lemma?
Anyway, I registered 3 books today and found a crossing zone in my town and I’m going to release a book there this afternoon. I’ll also hunt for the three that were released there 17 hours ago. I think I’ll take one down to Aptos with me, it’s not listed as a city in CA so I’m guessing no one has released a book there yet. Perhaps if I leave two at the Ugly Mug it will start a trend. So this is the new sub-goal. Find places in my area that have never been released in and get them on the map.
P.S. No one has registered my books yet! It’s discouraging. But I’ve only release 7 so, hey, bad luck or bad placement.
I traveled to New Mexico and I didn’t bring any books to drop with me. Live and learn I guess.
Does anyone know if bookcrossing has the same prohibitions on mailing tracked items that Wheresgeorge and similar sites have?
I want to do this. I just found out about Bookcrossing two days ago and yesterday I released my first book at a coffeeshop down town. I signed up on the site with my boyfriend, and I’d like to set my initial goal to be us releasing 100 books together.
My personal step one is two books a week ( I have a huge library I can give away) and to write good reviews for any books I have read.
