had considered flying to Vancouver in a couple of weeks. The price for flight and hotel combo were good. But I have too many extra medical expenses right now, so we are just going away for the weekend soon. (He has more disposable income than I do, but I would not feel comfortable with him paying my end of things. He does enough already.) Even staying in fairly luxurious hotel rooms nearby for two nights comes out to be less expensive than the trip to Vancouver.
sigh
I saw something on Yahoo today about finances. It said you should be putting 10% of your income into a 401k. It gave the example, “For example, if you put 10% of your $100,000 yearly salary into a 401k, in x number of years you would have $y.” They threw out that $100,000 figure as if it were what the average bird or bloke makes in a year.
Am I missing something?
