end circumcision

I haven’t done this. But I think I’ve participated in enough conversation about it here, and also currently have a more recent, very similar goal. So I am making space on my goals list.

I only hope people will take the time to educate themselves about this topic and at least put some thought into it before allowing their sons to be circumcised.

qualify this by saying that I am conflicted over whether it is my place to end religiously based circumcision or not. I am tempted to say it is not my place, but then I think about female circumcision and I’m not so sure.

Anyway, it is clear to me that routine medical circumcision is something that should be brought to an end. Removing a child’s foreskin unnecessarily seems to me as logical as removing a child’s lips.
