find at least one thing each day that makes me happy and record it everyday for a year

Saw my son perform with the school band today. I always enjoy it. Makes me a little sad that this is his last year in high school.

Had lunch after the band thing with a friend and her son. Quite enjoyable.

Zipping around in the a rental car because mine is in the shop.

Dinner with my son at my favorite Chinese restaurant. I’ve been eating here since I was a child. It’s nice that they are still around.

I got to leave work early due to chiropractor appointment.

Spent one on one time with my son.

Lazy day. Spent day with my SO doing not much of anything.

Lunch with friends at the Spaghetti Factory and later on a Birthday party for my cousin’s adorable 3 year old son. A trip to Toysrus and seeing all the new toys was very exciting. I don’t have much reason to go to Toysrus since mine is almost 18. I did bring him along to help me decide on a toy and of course he asked for something (a video game) and I reminded him that it wasn’t his birthday yet. After the visit with my cousins and my aunt, I stopped by to see my dad on the way home.

I wish I lived closer to family. It usually takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to drive it and if there is traffic and/or rain like yesterday you can add more time. There was an accident close to my cousins house and it took an hour jut to go 2 miles…. Still it was worth it. Pulled into my driveway at 11:00 pm, happy to be home, but even happier to feel the love from my family and friends earlier in the day.

Went to meet my food idol, Alton Brown at a book signing. Throughly enjoyable evening with a good friend. Pagliacci’s pizza for dinner afterwards…. mmmmm…. :o)

Pearl Jam tickets showed up in the mail. Invite out to an art gallery show with a good friend for this weekend. Set up the table on the back patio. Too bad it’s too hot right now to sit out there.

Got up early and took on the day. Went through some boxes that needed sorting and gathered up things for the yard sale. My son even cleaned his room and got the new chair set up.

Lots of driving but it was worth it.

First went to a baby shower for a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. She’s having a boy. Lots of cute baby stuff. There was a mutual friend of ours there as well that I hadn’t seen since last year. That was really good since I didn’t know anyone else.

After the shower I went and picked up my son from his dad’s house. I hadn’t seen him in a week.

We went to an old friend’s house and just hung out. She has the cutest little house in Tacoma WA. They were just finishing up with their yard sale when we got there. We enjoyed a glass of wine (adults only) My son scored an orange plush velvet swivel chair for his room for free. It’s pretty cool. I took my friend’s 2 year old daughter for a walk while they loaded the unsold stuff back into the house. My son and I left and drove around the North End of Tacoma looking at the houses then headed home. Some day I would love to move back.

Sleeping in on a work day due to the previous night’s adventure. Got to work at 10:00 am.

Bought the rest of what I needed to start my Hawaii scrapbook. Now I just need to organize my pictures that I printed and I am ready to go.

Went to the NKOTB concert with a co-worker. A little cheesy but had a fun time. It sucked afterwards though. It took me over 3 hours to get home.
