see my best friend again

I need to send her an ecard. I meant to get a real card in the mail, but haven’t had a chance to buy one. I’ll do this tonight before I go to bed so it’s waiting for her tomorrow. :o)

decided to take a road trip next summer since it will be his last summer before senior year. We have decided fly down to Texas first so we will visit my best friend near Dallas. We’ll probably rent a car and then head down to Houston and visit my son’s birthplace. After that we’ll probably head east and go through Louisiana since never made it there the whole time I lived in Texas, then off to Biloxi Mississippi to visit his old babysitter and her son (also a very good friend of mine). After that we will head to Alabama to see his grandparents and then we will head back home. I’m not sure how long it will take and if it is even realistic, but we figured we would start planning now.

She was fired from her job and hasn’t had access to email. I’m sad she lost her job, but glad otherwise she is fine. She is going to working from home for now on so she’ll be able to stay home with her baby.

I haven’t been able to reach her by phone or email. Whenever I call the phone number I have I get a busy signal (I’ve tried several times) and she hasn’t responded to the last 2 emails I sent. She mentioned she might be changing jobs. I’m wondering if she did. I may have to mail her a letter.

over the last few months. It’s been nice chatting with her from time to time but it would be nicer if she lived closer. I know we’ll see each other again some day – it’s inevitable. Her family still lives here so she will eventually come for a visit. If not I will fly to Texas for a special trip. I’d love to meet her husband and children anyway. This will happen soon enough.

Her call came at the worst time (we just finished shopping at Costco) but we have been missing each other everytime either one of us has called the last few months has called so I went ahead and took it. My BF was a little annoyed that I did but once I finished the call and explained that this is actually the first time we have spoke since we reconnected he wasn’t so irritated.

It was good to hear her voice and her baby is doing good. We talked a little bit about our past adventures (we met at the age my son is now) and about what is currently going on in our lives. All in all it was a very good conversation. I am really glad we spoke and look forward to hopefully seeing her around the holidays.

friends from high school a few years ago. She moved to Texas after I did and then I moved back to Washington state and she stayed in TX with her husband. We drifted apart and lost contact. A few months ago we reconnected. She is still down in Texas and has divorced and remarried and had a new baby. We have been corresponding over emailing and hopefully will be able to see each other again face to face in a few months when she is up visiting family for the holidays. If not I will go down to Texas to visit her. I’m really looking forward to seeing her.
