Clean out the basement

I got everything reamed out-all that is left are some boxes of books and one port-a-crib filled with empty suitcases and the like that will have a home either in the garage upon its completion or in the basement again when there is a specific place to PUT them.

The next task is framing, wiring, then sheetrock and a oause while the debate over the future flooring type continues.

Some day, hopefully, this dank, dark, noisy space will be transformined into additional living and play areas.

reminded by 43 things that I want to clean out my basement, I *ACTUALLY * made some progress!
Everything is out save a row of boxes of books along one wall, a Nordic Track in slight disrepair, and one playen with cushions and suitcases.

What is left to do: rip out the old wretched carpet (which I prefer the clean cement floor to) frame the walls
hire an electritian to rewire—we need lights and outlets
Then we can sheetrock, paint, and put in a floor—the type of which is still under debate.

We’re also hoping to frame out a powder room, and add a sound barrier around the noisy furnace.

Hauled out 4 or 5 bags of trash
consolidated some boxes of papers
stacked up some boxes of books
corralled all the toys!

It is a lot neater and cleaner
but hardly “clear” or “empty”
The area is about 19/20’ X 25’
We need EVERY INCH for a family that is moving here to have a place to put their things in
