Knit more Sweaters this Winter

... she surprised me with a visit this week, so I was able to give it to her personally :)

I want to give it to her when we go up to Sydney in a couple of weeks. I had enough wool left over to make a matching cap..!

.. while I was in New Zealand.

Can’t wait to be able to start knitting this up.

It really was wonderful to see stores with so much pure wool (as opposed to acrylic). The other thing that impressed me was the quality and amount of woollen garments that are still made in N.Z. Unfortunately a lot of ours here go offshore to be produced cheaper. Not quite the same sadly….

I bought some more wool today. NOW I will have to knit those sweaters. Spent an inordinate amount of time trying to work out what I wanted (thought I knew before I went!!!), but there was way too much to choose from. BUT am happy with my final purchases and am looking forward to the first miserable day to just sit and knit…...............

I made the mistake this morning of looking at my knitting book patterns. OH dear…............... I have found some wonderful things to knit, but now I want MORE wool. Is this just an excuse to go out shopping again? No, I don’t think so. I will need these articles for the cold winter ahead, and just think how warm I’ll be sitting and knitting them…...

I had an urge this morning to get out my knitting needles. Maybe its the thought of the Craft Fair – I’m not sure. But, I have decided that seeing as I have quite a stash of wool, I will endeavour to knit MYSELF some more articles, and not give them all away to the family (well maybe a few). Going to fossick around in my wool now….....................
