avoid using English whenever possible

...at least with my boyfriend. We both know English very well, and we both suck at the other languages the other one knows well, so most conversations would take ages. But I do try to use Finnish whenever possible in stores, at the phone, etc.

I managed to hardly use English until… January 2 =/
However, I’ve spoken some Icelandic every day since then, and I’ve mostly written in Swedish with my native speaker friend.

This is my #1 New Year’s resolution. It’s probably the only way for me to finally start speaking Icelandic. I told everyone that from this very day on I’m not going to speak English any more if I can actually make myself understood in Icelandic. Or German, with my boyfriend and other people wanting to learn it. Or Swedish. Or Finnish.
