grow and donate my hair

I did the Big Cut on May 30, and it was just barely the minimum 10 inches. It’s currently still rubber-banded and sitting in a bag in my room. I should probably look up where to send it to, huh?

It’s been about five months since my last haircut, and it’s about time to get another get-rid-of-dead-ends trim. I’ve probably reached the minimum lenght to donate, but after all this time, I’ve actually started liking my hair this long so I think I’m going to wait until spring/summer before I do The Big Cut.

It’s been almost two years since I made the decision to do this. I’ve gotten my haircut twice in that time. Last December, which evened everything and made it all the same length, and about a month and a half ago because OMG split ends. I measured and I think I’m at about 8-ish inches right now. GROW FASTER HAIR.

I want to cut it so badly. But I’ve got only two more inches to go. I can hold out…I think.

It’s now about two inches past my shoulders, which probably doesn’t sound like much but considering I kept it at a Mary Martin-Peter Pan style for over a year, it’s extremely long for me. I hope it only be another six months or so before I can cut it but we shall have to wait and see.

Having hair this long is such a pain in the ass.

But I shall perservere.

Eep! My hair has now officially reached shoulder length! It’s several lengths so it’s taken a while for it all to be shoulder length but it finally has! I can even put it up in a pony tail, I can’t even remember the last time I could do that.

I had been doing this for several months before I realized that I didn’t have it on my list, so, here it is. My hair is almost shoulder lenght now, the last time it was that long I think was last August. I can’t even remember the last time it was any longer than that. The next time I have a good hair day I think I’m going to take a picture to document my progress. :D
