I know that it’s about incremental choices in things, cos when you are feeling ratty and crap you have a tendency to reach for ratty and crap food/media rather than do the things that could move you out of it. Ignatian idea of good/bad spiriti helpful here. My ideas about energy too are relevant – if you feel like 4/10 then concentrate on whether there is anything you could do including taking a nap to get up to 5. Sometimes all I need to do is acknowledge how tired I am and allow that instead of struggling against it…

And I guess, coming out of that, is the question, is there something I can do each day, some meditation, ritual or affirmation, that might increase the chance of the day being – I can only use religious language – blessed? Cos I can tell you, today wasn’t blessed, it was cursed. I avoided making art all day before work, I tussedl unsuccessfully with a cycle lock, I bothered my cat, I huffed and puffed… Essentially, I skittered miserably around on the surface and frittered my time away on trivia – bills etc but I left the important work undone. And it makes me miserable. So that’s my mini goal as part of this – is there something I can do to influence this?
This is obviously very close to another entry but it think I need to remind myself of this one, and move it to top of my list. I know it is terribly abstract and not at all S.M.A.R.T. but I think to the degree I can answer yes or no to the question, Are you living depth, I am happy.
