Here’s the way I’ve been thinking. AT the end of this term, I’ll have learned enough to start the business aspects of DfD.

Goal 1: By the end of the term to have a good and useful chunk of the DataminingForDemocracy code finished. This is CRUCIAL since it will give me momentum to keep things going.

Goal 2: Given Goal 1, I will begin the actual business aspects of DfD.

I’ve been taking a course on starting an engineering startup.
It’s giving me a more sophisticated way of thinking about startups.
So, I’ve been thinking about the business model that DataminingFor Democracy would use.

I’ve been putting off working on the prototype. I suppose I’ve been thinking that I need to read more before I can statrt the actual work. That is a partial mistake. I’m also sitting-in on a course on Machine Learning (in preparation for my PhD quals)...it’s forcing me to do some tasks that are very related to DfD. It’s giving me some momentum.
