...just sit back and relapse again. School has been very stressful and I’m going through a rough patch with my boyfriend, so I’ve taken to biting my nails again. Not good. Hopefully I’ll unwind over break and be able to stop again.

I think that by the end of this month, this goal will be as good as done. I haven’t been biting my nails but I almost never bite at the skin around my nails. Soon!
Look at these great nails. I have cut them four times (FOUR TIMES!), and they were very long (VERY LONG!) each time (I have to keep them short for when I play the guitar). Even the skin is looking better. I’m not quite finished yet, but I think that by the end of the summer, this goal is in. the. bag. :)
I’ve pretty much stopped biting my nails BUT I also want to stop biting the skin around my fingers… Good luck to me, I say.
I can see the whites of my nails! AND the skin around my nails is healing! My fingers are a little rough, but I’m assuming the skin will smooth out as it is left alone, since I don’t scar easily AT ALL.
I just caught myself biting at the skin around my nailbeds. I have not only the bad habit of biting my nails, but the skin around it too. scowls & rubs worry stone I can do this.
I haven’t bitten my nails in 24 hours. I celebrate the small things.
On St. George Street, I purchased two worry stones, which are stones with an indent to rub your thumb in to decrease stress. I also bought some waxed cotton strings to make them in to necklaces. Instead of biting my nails (and fingers…), I’ll try to remember to rub the stones instead. One day, I WILL have fingernails!
