okay, I pulled the fabric out of the closet, the chair is at the table, got a new lamp so I can see the stitches, and have a pattern to go off of. Somehow I can’t get myself to sit down and make the first cut.

hip scarves  — 2 years ago

I made two hip scarves for belly dancing last night. Found some jingling coins at the fabric store and some length of flashy ribbon, used old scarves buried in the depths of my closet and stiched it all together. Now I can go “ching chingaching” all day long with a look of smug self-satisfaction.

fast and cheap  — 2 years ago

Made fleece scarves, hats and mittens for pretty much everyone for Xmas. It went fast and was fun to plot out how it would go together. Super-satisfying as the fleece is thick enough to hide my meandering stitching and mistakes.

Cooking up plans to make a basic skirt. Bought a pile of lovely fabric for inspiration/destruction.
