“Vixen” came up in a game of Probe tonight. We were playing a round where everyone had to use an animal. I don’t know if I’ll ever really have the opportunity to use the word outside of a game though.

Idiosyncrasy (id.e.o.sing.kres.se) A habit or mannerism that is peculiar to an individual.
I know the word but I can never say it correctly when I want to. I usually end up with “idiosyncratic”. I will strive this week to use the correct pronunciation.

Burl – the knot in a tree. I’ve used it correctly three times now, so I own it. The experts seem to say that if you can use it three times the word is added to your vocabulary. We’ll have to see.
